The beach access was perfect for my family, especially with three grandchildren in tow. We enjoyed sunny days splashing around, and the pool was a hit too. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook family meals and enjoy dinners on the balcony overlooking the ocean.
In my wife’s opinion, a kids' play area would enhance the experience. The lack of organized activities for children made it difficult to keep them engaged at times.

Pool area neat, great for the kids. Chose a unit expecting better ocean views, but it was disappointing. BBQ grills available were clean and easy to use. Service at check-in could be improved. not informed about poolside restroom.

I absolutely adored the beautifully manicured gardens surrounding the pool area. it was a delightful backdrop for our leisurely mornings. The accessibility was fantastic, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the lovely views without a hassle.
Stronger curtains for morning light control would help.

The food scene around Mau Sunset is lit! Piko Cafe’s brunch is a must-try—those pancakes are next-level! Plus, the BBQ area was perfect for grilling up fresh catch after a day on the beach. The kitchen in our unit was fully stocked too!
The bedroom felt like a sauna with those bright curtains not doing their job. And I swear I heard chickens clucking louder than my playlist starting 3 AM—it’s like they thought it was a concert. Still, everything else kept shining through!

It was just an optimal selection for a weekend outing in Kihei with reasonable value. The grounds are meticulously cared for, making it a relaxing spot. Bring some earplugs for the early morning noise from the chickens.

Couples getaway could use some improvements
The beach was a beautiful sight, very relaxing to enjoy the sunset from the balcony every evening. Even when the A/C didn’t chill the living room, we had those comfy chairs and a cooler to help celebrate our evenings under the stars.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but still acceptable for the most part.
